ABOUT
The Somerville Pedestrian & Transit Advisory Committee is dedicated to promoting walking and public transit ridership, improving the quality and effectiveness of the pedestrian and transit experience, and promoting policies and programs supportive of walking and public transportation in the City of Somerville.
The work of the Committee shall be dedicated to the following guiding principles:

Improve access and the accessibility

Increase safety for all modes of transportation

Promote and encourage sustainable modes of transportation

Make pedestrian and use of public transit a more pleasant experience

Evaluate and improve the performance of the systems.

Advocate for fair and equitable transit fares, and for the incorporation of an equity lens in all
decisions made about pedestrian and public transportation systems. -
